Help!!
Can anyone please help really struggling on these questions,
Why is it important to be aware of the limitations or your own expertise and responsibilities and respect the expertise and responsibilities of other professionals?
And also,
When is it important to assert you own expertise when working with other professionals and how to do so in a way that will maintain an effective relationship?
Maybe i should not of read both these questions together, but now i am struggling! Been ok with my nvq up till this point! Any help is much appreciated, thank you

Why is it important to be aware of the limitations or your own expertise and responsibilities and respect the expertise and responsibilities of other professionals?
Ok, let's take the recent scare about swine flu. There's been lots of information from professionals and lots of hype from the media, which has kind of got all mixed together so that we're not exactly sure what's fact, or what's fiction any more. We're not trained virologists so it's really hard to see the wood from the trees here. If the newspaper reporters had been aware of the limitations or their own expertise and responsibilities and respected the expertise and responsibilities of other professionals we would be better placed to understand exactly what's going on.

Right, second one When is it important to assert you own expertise when working with other professionals and how to do so in a way that will maintain an effective relationship? Hmm, trickier one 'cos I don't know your situation. But say a speech therapist was working with a child at preschool, I'd be using my knowledge of the child to advise the therapist of what we'd already done and listening to her advice, carrying out her suggestions and then feeding back to her what had, or hadn't worked, in a professional manner.

All reflective accounts are fine, and i seem to sail through the massive task or all development milestones alongside theorists so cant believe i am having such a brain freeze, maybe i wasted it all on them lol! thank you so much.

There was no NVQ4 when I wanted to do it, I did Advanced Diploma in Childcare and Education and then went on to do my FDEY ten years later! So, I know about gaps in learning!!!!
