Hi,
Was wondering if anyone can help me explain clearly why it is important toestablish and agree respective roles and responsibilities with other professionals and how to do so. Everytime i go to answer i cant seem to get my point across, any help would be great, thank you |
Well it's important that we agree respective roles and responsibilities when we're working in a team so that tasks get done by everyone, and not one person shouldering all the burden. It's important that you know what you are meant to be doing so that you can get on with it, and also what you are not 'meant' to do, so that you don't potentially get into trouble. It's the person in charge's role to speak to the press, for instance, It may be your role to make sure that resources are kept stored properly so that everyone knows where they are, and that they are put away correctly each time.
Similarly, it's important to know where your roles lie with external professionals, such as an early years team or a speech therapist, so that you can access the help and information you might need. Do you have a textbook for your course? That should provide the answer more fully. |
This is a great start, thank you. I have ordered the candidate handbook nvq 4, should be here tues, so fingers crossed.
Many thanks, you have been a great help |
