Explain how a child's development depends on their level of maturation and prior experiences and how to take this into account. Finding this unit hard going.

You need to write about how a child's life experiences will be different depending on their upbringing. Also how long term illnesses might affect their development.

I also talked about child neglect and how this can have an effect on their ability to develop socially & emotionally and how important social & emotional development are to learning. Hope this helps, but I have not yet had this unit assessed

:idea:Maybe look into Bowlby's Attachment Theory too - his theories on attachment disorder show how children need security in their first years to allow them to develop appropriately.
