Can anyone help me with parts 5 and 6 on this question, its the last bit of 403 i need to do and am really struggling - not sure why!

5. Provide programme and activities to support intellectual development and learning, covering:
a. Attention
b. Concentration
c. Persistence
d. Exposure to different and varied concepts
e. Motivation
f. Challenging and stimulating learning and love of learning

6. Provide programmes and activities to support communication, language and literacy, including:
a. Verbal and non-verbal communication strategies
b. Listening, watching, talking, early recognition of print, mark making, including strategies
for use with children experiencing barriers to developing literacy
c. Adapting strategies where learning is through an additional language
d. Adapting strategies where there are communication barriers
e. Bilingual; and multilingual settings
f. Using ICT

i'm suffering with 'brain freeze' on this one as well. would love some pointers here. Thank you. :banghead:

5. I think you could put playing games for this question and go down the list of why. Playing a game requires attention and concentration - they need to watch so they know what to do and concentrate - for when it is their turn , counting the spots on the die, or moving the counter etc.
If you allow them to choose a game they like or one that is suitable for their age and stage this will keep their attention, build up their concentration, stimulate and challenge - in actually thinking whilst playing and of course if they are enjoying it, they will persist - stay there for quite some time. Providing different games - 2d dominoes or 3d games, card games or a game with a spinner, pop up pirates or physical games such as musical statues, sleeping kions are different concepts.

6. Try and think of lots of ways in which you can put communication across - talking, stories, songs, games, with and without actions, facial expressions etc , then how would you adapt these? -
if a child was deaf you could sign or do lots of action songs and games they could join in with.
If bilingual you could sing a song in their language, British children are often familiar with Fere Jacques - if not they could learn.
