I think I know the answer but--------!! The other deputy will be the ex chairlady who although has worked as a assisant on the odd days is not qualified,no training, she will probably start her NVQ in September. Can she be deputy with no qualifications??Her and the manager are buddies!!:rotfl:

How did she get the job? Was it advertised? Did noone else apply? Is there no other qualified person in the group to be Acting Deputy until someone suitable found? A deputy needs to be able to take charge in absence of leader - how can she do this? Sounds rather worrying .... sorry!

When I wanted to use my mum as my Deputy (also the partner of the business) during an initial opening period I was told by my Dev Off that Ofsted would not find this acceptable as she is not qualified (although she was going to be working towards her Level 3).
