Help with K4P778 please!!
 

Hi everyone

I am trying to research the manual handling of children. I have looked in to one ladies post about the school regs, but as i am in a nursery, i think i have to put in manual handling regs about under 5's.

If anyone has any websites or info, i would be extremely grateful as i am running out of ideas. Even any ideas of search words would be appreciated.

hi jo,
i also work in a nursery and i talked about the manual handling courses we have been on and about the risk assessments eg changing nappies, the way in which you lift children to protect them and yourself.
also did a quick ref to manual handling regulations 1992

Hi have a look at The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 and the Health and Saftey at Work Act1974 your setting should also have its own policy that you can refer too,hope this is of some help.
