im still unsure about holistic development
 

I have to write about what i understand about holistic and integrated childhood development i have looked at the threads on here but im still unsure. Can any one give me some pointers please

Holistic looks at the whole child and not just one part..

eg in role play a child learning covers all areas of development and not just one.... say creative..but also communication, emotional, mathematical, , Physical etc.
when planning think of the child as a whole and not just one area to develop, same for setting up areas, rather than a maths area look at how you can incorporate maths in all areas.
Do children learn one thing at a time, or by incorporating lots of things together?
