Please can any one help i know im a pest but does the nvq get any easier?
I am not sure what im doing i am a bit stuck has what to write down for anti discriminatory/inclusion practice. I have been trying to do my 401 and part of 402 all weekend

its alot of work but just keep at it and ull b fine. ull soon get in to the work and the way the questions are set out. unit 403 was the worst for me mind. it will all b worth it in the end stick at it

Im just starting 403 and it looks horrendous!!
Each unit seems to be getting harder- Im looking forward to doing my optional units just need to get these out of the way:banghead: :reading:

when i did 401 i talked about adapting practice for those with communication difficulties, i also mentioned our staffing and employment policies and our recruitment procedures ensuring inclusion for all, i mentioned respecting other cultures and respecting everyones point of view when liasing with other professionals, when working with families i stated we need to seperate our personal views from our profesional views i mentioned our inclusion policy and that all adults and children should be included in our setting free from discrimination, harrassment and sterotyping.

hope thats some help dont give up, :thumbsup:the further you get the nearer the end is in sight. I did one unit at a time and plodded on it took me 10 mths Iam awaiting my file to be internally and externally verified so everything crossed!

Although I dont think it gets any easier after you have had a couple of units signed off you do get a better understanding of what thay want. To me getting to know how the folder and all the paperwork fitted in was a task in itself!! having never done an nvq before.
I have just started 403 which looks like it will take me ages but I plan to do a bit at a time :thumbsup:

maybe it would be more positive and certainly easier if instead of wading through unit by unit you looked at it holistically. write a reflective account about a situation or event activity then evidence it. when evidencing you will find bits you can expand and then evidence again.
write about how you manage staff and their relationships for example. describe how you induct new staff and what your focus is. then do the referencing. its so much easier

Hi there. I too have just finished my Level 4. It has been internally verified, am waiting for the EV to verify it next month, so am keeping my fingers - and everything else -crossed too. Most of my portfolio was evidenced holistically. We were given 'assignments' to do, i.e. look through the Knowledge evidence and link all similar criteria together and write about everything relevant, e.g. an essay about multi- and bi-lingual children would cover K4D1122 – 408, 409, 411, K4D809.7c, d, e – 403, K4D862 – 407, K4D917 – 409 and K4D936 – 410
or
writing about holistic development and how all areas of learning are integrated, children developing in broadly the same sequence but at different rates, would cover K4D383 – 403, 408, 409, 410, K4D384 – 403, K4D385 – 403, 408, 410, K4D895 – 408, K4D912 - 409 and K4D913 - 409

hi becca what are you particularly stuck on if you write the knowledge question down in a private message to me i'll see what i can do. Dont give up it does get easier, you can cross ref.

Explain to your tutor is your having difficulty often a personal discussion is easier. i couldnt think of how to put a knowledge question down on paper but in discussion it just came easily and my assessor ticked it off that way.

its about seeing the knowledge questions in practice, and putting your practice knowledge into the question asked.
