Can anyone give a good webpage where i can find out the legal requirements regading confidentiality and the disclosure of information please.

FOI.gov.uk - Freedom of Information is a great site for knowing what's legally allowed from the access point of view.

The Data protection act governs dos' & don'ts, an easier FAQ read can be found on DCA - department for Constitutional Affairs website

I believe new laws have just come into effect for the ICO - Information Commissioners Office (their website seems to be having a weekend glitch !!) - news item from Computerweekly.co.uk
