K4D385- Recognition that development depends

any1 got any idea on how to answer this questions its so confusing. has any1 else found unit 403 difficult.
K4D385- Recognition that development depends on the childs level of maturation and their prior experiences and that adult expectations should be realistic and take this into account.

Hi hope this helps. All the areas are linked as you will know. Each affects and is affected by the other.. for example the ability to operate well in society is affected by the ability to use language effectively. When children use language effectively they will have more opportunity to interact socially with their peers and adults. For what ever reason children vary in their rates of development throughout the five main areas and this should always be considered when referring to charts and guides. Also the children's prior experiences of things will differ. That's why is it essentail that practitioners try to find out as much information about a child's prior experiences and knowledge.

ok - well maybe I have put enough info then - as I have covered all of that. Just most of my other answers during 403 have been 2 - 30 pages - so 3/4 of a page seemed too small!!!! :rotfl:

how children develop at widely different rates but in broadly the same sequence.
