Scones ?

Does anyone have an easy recipe for scones that's been good for making with the Children ?

Many thanks

This is the one I use - I got it from a friend... Enjoy! :yummy:

Make 8 to 10 scones.

12 oz / 350g self-raising flour
1 tbsp. caster sugar
3½ oz / 100 g mixed dried fruit
1 egg, beaten
4 oz / 110 g margarine (butter makes them creamier)
Enough milk to bind - approx. 2 tbsp.

Oven: Pre-heat to 400F (200C)

Put all the ingredients into a bowl and mix to a firm dough.

Roll out to a thickness of about 1" / 2½ cm.

Use a pastry cutter or inverted glass to cut into rounds.

Put on a lightly greased baking sheet and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until just done.
