NVQ 4 CCLD Unit 412

As part of this unit I need to send out a questionnaire to parents to ask them what they think of our setting.

The one my setting has used previously is very stuffy and never gets many replies. :irked:

Has anyone sent out one recently that I could look at and develop to suit my setting?

Suggestions of things to put in it would be greatly appreciated. :D

yes we just sent one out we asked:
Question ( please tick to indicate your answer)
Agree Disagree Unsure

My child likes playgroup

The arrangements for settling in when my child started Playgroup were good.

My child is not bullied or harassed at playgroup.

The playgroup encourages children to care for each other and be helpful.

My child is making good progress

I have viewed my child’s special folder
.

Staff give my child individual help when he/she needs it.

The Playgroup works well with parents and provides useful information on how they can support their child's learning

The playgroup seeks views of parents/carers and takes into account suggestions and concerns.

I would feel comfortable about approaching playgroup staff with questions or a problem

The playgroup provides good facilities both indoors and outdoors

The playgroup is well managed.

Behaviour in the group sessions is well managed.

I feel I am kept fully informed regarding playgroup matters.

I particularly like the following at Playgroup;

I would like to make these suggestions.

We had a good response, which involved making a few changes to our setting.
it was in a table form and the parents ticked the box agree, disagree etc and added a comment if they wished, all parents then recieved a graph chart with the results.

Thanks Brandy. :cheerful:

I've got some great ideas to work with now. I want to get this sorted out so that I can get it out to the parents next week and hopefully get the replies in by the end of term :D

I think this will be a really good unit to work on as it will actually go towards something happening in the setting rather than me tearing my hair out with all these "knowledge" statements :banghead:

Are you doing this as an optional unit?

Brandy 11-29-2007 06:47 PM

We were told what units we could do they are
401, 425, 407, 403,402,404,418,423,422.
so Im not doing 412, we sent out a questionaire as we attended peal training and our homework was to question parents, peal is parents, education and learning.
the training was very good and will help with 422 coordinate work with famillies.
