Christmas plays ?

Is anyone putting on a Christmas play or similar this year ?

Which title did you decide on and have you any recommendations on where to buy the play scripts from ?

We are doing a traditional "nativity" this year. We use the script that we have developed over the years.

We have most of the costumes. When we have lots of children we have everything from: Mary, Jesus, Angels, Kings etc. to camels, cows, sheep and a donkey!

They look soo cute all dressed up :D I remember one year our lead role was really excited and so keen but as soon as she realised she was the focus and had to move she dived under a table and refused for come out for ages !

We always had as many pre play/circle song nerves as the children and numb hands from finger crossing :D lol

We are similar to Sparky, we do the traditional nativity scene but without the animals, our children that are not in the main story are dressed in whatever they like related to Christmas, some in snowmen or reindeer costumes. We have also got the nervous ones who will run to their parents rather than the stage. One year the paint from the tabard the King was wearing came off onto a member of staffs new top when they were in floods of tears. Oh well, with only 8 weeks to go, we have already started our practice of the songs today....Away in a manger being sung on the 29th Oct.... whatever next?
