Childcare Vouchers
My family who I work for one day has asked me if I would accept childcare vouchers,as they would like to pay me more!! I am very happy as love my one day with their child but if they can gain why not?My first aid runs out in May but am more than happy to go on courses,I love them!!
So apart from a rise what do the parents gain and is it worth it????:dizzy: :whistlebl |
erm...????
Sorry Chloe cant help you with this one! |
ummm
dont know either , is there a web site for the vouchers? |
Chloe, do you mean the Early years nursey grant 'vouchers' ?
|
if its vouchers like the ones accepted by day nurseries then the way it works is that a portion of the parents wages is deducted from their income (to pay for childcare) before tax, as I understand it (unless things have changed) you have to be registered with ofsted to be eligible to accept the vouchers

should have said - some of the 'voucher companies' are accor, care4 or busy bees if this helps
some of them are 'paper' vouchers - the parent receives paper vouchers through the post, they pass them on to you, you have to then contact the company to claim and they forward the money to you, others transfer the money direct to your bank account each month with no paper vouchers |
Parents save on Tax and NI on a set amount per week, for 2005/06 tax year £55 per week is tax free as it were. If both parents can get their employers to provide vouchers, then they can each make the savings. Teachers are currently exempt (Alas I work for teachers)! Care-4 has a calculator on their website which can help calculate likely savings for the parents.

one of my family's use this system it's really easy and their company simply transfers the money directly into my bank account each month without my having to ask for it..................................so lovely.i just check my bank staement to make sure its gone in.the parent pays the remainder of the fee themselves in the usual way
*Edit* PM'd you Narnia :-) |
