Unit 8 or 508 - Areas of support that may be needed when working with a child following harm or abuse
 

I am really struggling with this unit.
Can anyone shed some light on this outcome for me -
Analyse AREAS OF SUPPORT that may be needed when working with a child or young person following harm or abuse.

I have read so much information and nothing is flowing for me! I would be grateful for any help or advice.

Hi, the RCC UNIT 508 offers the following areas as suggestions for analysis.

Areas of support may include supporting the child or young person to

• deal with distress, fear and anxieties caused by the harm or abuse
• understand the implications of harm and abuse they have experienced
• develop positive coping strategies following harm or abuse
• understand why boundaries may need to be set forcontact between themselves and key people
