currently doing my level 5 and completely had a mind blank!! This is what ive wrote so far.

Explain how different types of transitions can affect children and young people’s development

Emotional transitions affect the child personally such as the death of a loved one or family pet, separation of parents, entering or leaving care, a new baby, stepparents or step brothers/sisters.
Physical transition is moving from one setting to another setting, attending more than one setting a week, moving house or moving towns/countries, moving up a year group, a new teacher, moving into care and vice versa.
Physiological transitions is having a long term medical condition such as cerebral palsy, in older children puberty will start. Puberty can affect children and young people emotionally hormones are pumped into the body causing mood swings. Teenagers become more self-conscious and can become aggressive and behavioural changes that can cause some teenagers to experiment with drug etc. Physically the body will have growth spurts and sexual maturity will be reached as the sexual organs fully develop, their bodies will look more like adults than a childs.
Intellectual transitions are leaving nursery for primary school, primary school to high school,a change in setting completely, having to deal with separation of parents.
