Unit 2.3 WB: balanced approach to risk assessment
 
can anyone give example of how to support a child to manage risk. ive already written about climbing frames and using scissors.

Hi supporting a child to manage risk means sharing information and communicating what the risk/dangers, options and choices are. You can support them physically with a guiding hand and the setting can support children by providing a safe, secure environment that enables developmentally appropriate risk taking opportunities such as the use of fully functioning tools (like scissors :) whole body exploration - climbing, running, stairs & balancing.
