Hi, welcome to silkysteps, if you've access to the EYE level 3 handbook the reading on pages 127 and 490 are useful.

Quote:
How to value parents and/or carers
Early years practitioners should speak to parents and carers face to face where possible, in particular if they are key workers (a child's professional keyperson) and get to know them through regular contact. They should also be involved in the setting wherever possible.

The reading goes on to explain how parents could be involved in a setting and the type of relationship that involves trust, respect and support.

Other sources of information that help research parent partnerships can be found on the PEEP - parents early education partnership website, and the research underpinning the raised profile of working with parents is on the PEAL site

Hth xx

Thanks for the help:) Have actually just realised there is now a book for the EYE so have ordered one from WHSmith. Will try out these websites meanwhile. I just don't understand what to include in wellbeing. In health I have included how we have sponsored sports days, encourage healthy food choices and display menus etc. Just need some guidance as to what I need to include under the wellbeing section :/
