Very last question

Analyse how practitioners can encourage carers to support children and young people learning and development....In my role as a foster carer, is this about the support and help in place for me from the local authority to support me in my role e.g training, reviews, supervision etc ?

Hi, no the practitioner is you :) xx take a broader view of this and consider all the parent's and carers that you might come into contact with through your role as a foster carer, examine how you'd share your knowledge about home learning environments & the type of resources that are and could be made available to children, ideas about sustained shared thinking, use of open-ended questions that help explore topics/themes/experiences, the positive impact that working in partnership has, the places everyone can go to access support as children learn & develop and how important it is to have a non-judgemental attitude.

Hth, best wishes
