why are partnerships important in early years?

Why are partnerships important in early years? I know that parents are their childs first educator and that working with them can make a huge difference to their learning and development.
I know that working in partnership with colleagues is important to share thoughts and ideas etc
Partnerships with outside agencies are important to get the correct help for the child for example in safeguarding or special needs.

Is their anything that I have missed as getting very close to to end of my course and would be devastated if I failed(probably loose my job x
