Hi, it does link with cyp3.1, 3.2 and EYMP 5 for the way children's language develops, to support cypop 1 and help re-organise understanding it might be helpful to visit them again. The optional units help to embed the learning that's been gathered through the core units. xx
Current research highlights how learning takes place in different ways: Children learn by copying others - A.Bandura, the importanc of modelling. Children learn through their own experiences - hands-on / first hand and through the repetition of those experiences - experiential learning, schema The importance of early experiences - the variety and the sensory focus of good early experiences supports the need for practitioners to plan ahead using child led interests - as it would be hoped that these will provide opportunities for children to participate, support and expand their learning. http://www.silkysteps.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13673 VAK model - visual, auditory, kinesthetic Participational and observational learning --------------------- Pre-conceptual - eggs and sperm are fragile meaning that there are factors that may impact on their 'health - the parent's to be lifestyle eg. if advise to reduce smoking, recreational drugs, alcohol would be given, parents age and what that might mean, if a recommendation to take folic acid supplements prior to conception is acted on. Moment of conception - as an egg is fertilised by the sperm/gamete, 23 chromosomes from the father are shared with 23 chromosomes of the mother providing the baby/foetus with 46 chromosomes. It is this moment that the genetic down syndrome can occur providing the baby/foetus with an additional 1 chromosome, an extra copy of trisomy-21. Pregnancy on nhs.uk Pre-birth - the health of a baby between conception and birth can be affected by the mother's own health ie. diet - listeria & unpasturised cheese, illness, stress, depression, lifestyle and choices - dietary, alcohol, smoking, drugs. The first trimester is the most vulnerable stage for a developing feotus/baby. Pregnancy and alcohol Pregnancy and drugs Pregnancy and smoking Pregnancy and infections Pre-eclampsia Listeriosa & pregnancy Birth experiences premature birth multiple birth assisted birth -caesarian birth trauma and anoxia Brain research - Neuroscience Attachment and neuroscience - from NCB Babies brain development - earlyhomelearning.org.uk Sensory play Treasure baskets & heuristic play - Elinor Goldschmied and Sonia Jackson Hope this starts things for you xx ...................~* Supporting silkysteps For a list of level 3 diploma learner handbooks on amazon.co.uk |
