How social pedagogy benefits children?
 

Hi there,
I'm currently working on my level 2 children and young people's workforce, and have chosen a level 3 task for my optional unit (CYP 3.1 understanding childrens and young people's development). I had a stab at the homework last week (2.3), and completed the bit about the theorists, but my tutor wants me to talk about social pedogogy and how we approach child care holistically ?!? Can some one please put me on the right track, I feel all googled out!:dizzy: Thanks

Social pedagogy is about the holistic well being and education and is a shared responsibility between parents and society as a whole. It develops children and young peoples knowledge of what is expected of them as an individual in society. It helps them gain skills in learning, coping with emotions and physical skills, its there to teach children and young people how to become a valued member of society.
