i need to give a t least two examples of support for each of the following scenarios

a child or young person with autism

(struggling here)

a child or young person with a hearing impairment

(so far i have got use more visual aides to teach or communicate, include them in decision making, communicate specifically to them, not over or above them)

a child or young person who is visually impaired

(so far i have got use more sound or physical aides to teach and communicate, include them in decision making, communicate directly to them not above them or over them)..

can anyone help....this is the last bit i need to complete this unit....:spin:

Hi

Autism
- visual time table (because they usually don't like change).
- PECS to help them communicate their needs and wants.

There can be alot more such as separating from their carer. The child that i look after at present doesn't have any awareness of dangers e.g. plug sockets, water play, will try and get out of setting so we have signs on all of these items and a risk assessment in place especially for him.
other ideas are comment on their play, copy their play.

Need any more info give us a shout.

Hi i care for a child with autism and i use pictures that grandparents use such as photos of toys that are played with whilst in my care i also have a traffic light system. Three circles red, green yellow. yellow is happy green is for good or well done and red is for stop. Children who have autism can bite. kick, push , pull hair. Because they don't know how to show their emotions hope this helps
