Hi, does this help permanency in planning from Devon.gov.uk

This quote from (unzipped files of social care mandatory pathway units) SCMP 1 unit pdf, includes the explanation:
Quote:

Permanency Planning

Permanency Planning is necessary for looked-after children and young people who need to
plans made for their long-term future. The purpose of Permanency Planning is to give each child or young person a greater sense of security, and, if possible, a family for life. It takes into account a child or young person's history and current situation, makes an assessment of the young persons needs and how best to meet those needs in the future. Permanency planning should include the child or young person and relevant others in the decision making. It takes into account individual circumstances and the age, needs and abilities of the child or young person.

and definition for continuity, enabling care to be dependable for the child so that it can support thier confidence, reinforce understanding how transitions can be difficult and recognise it by offering services that reassures the child things aren't/don't have to be inconsisitent, unreliable, give a sense of vulnerability or feel at risk.
