Offer alternative activities if appropriate and
identify and deploy specialist aids and equipment as neecessary.and

Presumably focusing on SEN?

I used to lok after a little un in a spica cast, she was included in EVERYTHING!
water play - i used to put a waterproof apron over her cast so it would get wet. Walks and outings, i used to put a cushion in the pram so she could sit comfortably and enjoy the same as others. she couldnt do activities in highchair, so i would sit with her on the floor and provide acitivties on a small table or tray infront of her. she would have a cushion under her legs in her cot to support her as she slept etc. Hope that gives to a small idea?
