Hi, when you take up a position in a nursery, preschool, foundation stage unit you become part of a much bigger picture.

There are a myriad of professionals all working towards children, parents and adults positive outcomes. These are the people that you work with in your own setting, the staff in other types of setting and externally where professionals within the early years sector work in goverment, health care, social care, safeguarding services, study child development and support the provision that different settings give to children and parents through books, guidance and other resources eg. PLA, NDNCA, PACEY, Nurseryworld

However each individual's working job description or their role and responsibilities differ and its important to see what your own job contract expects of you in contrast to what others might say as that difference helps you to call on each others skills and ensure that your duties are carried out consistenly in line with what the workplace requires.

If you read pages 29 to 34 of the ERR workbook the activities might help.

Best wishes, if you're still struggling to understand this please speak to your tutor again as they may be able to sit down and go through it all more thoroughly with you.
