sports week

last summer we did our first ever sports week...as we have children who come in on different days, and we have 50+ on our register we decided this was the 'best' way to manage it....all the children were put into four teams...we chose colours for the team names...we then had 3/4 team races which were very simple and fun...even the 2 and a half year olds joined in!!...all the children received a 'medal' and certificate for participating...and it was such fun!!...we will be repeating it again this year....anyone else do this?:D

Hello, we do a sports day. we have 35 children on the register and invite them all in for the morning. We split them into different colour teams and do a few simple team races before finishing off with age related sprints. Every child receives a medal and certificate. We follow this with a teddy bears picnic. It is usually a really nice day, normally the last day of the year for the younger ones. The next day we do a leavers party for the children going off to school. It is really hard work but so much fun.
