Explain policies and procedures that are in place to protect children and young people and adults who work with them

The work i have been set is;

In a written account please:
Explain policies and procedures that are in place to protect children and young people and adults who work with them.Evaluate ways in which concerns about poor practice can be reported whilst ensuring that whistle blowers and those whose practice or behaviour is being questioned are protected.3.2

Explain how practitioners can take steps to protect themselves within their everyday practice in the work setting and on off site visits

I'm really struggling! Apart from the whistleblowing part i've done that.

Anyhelp would be appreciated!! Thanks :dizzy:

All settings should have policies and procedures in place such as safeguarding policies . We do risk assessments to ensure the environment that the children are in is a safe and secure one. Having parents written permission to change nappies and maybe to have two people when changing a child. You need policies to protect yourself as well as for the children. Off site visits you should do a risk assessment before you go with the children/ have parents permission, first aid kit with you and the right number of adults to children hope this helps
