please help what is meant by the non-statutory guidance eyfs thanks

Hi
within the EYFS you have statutory requirements that all settings must abide by, in the book they also have non-statutory guidance which is good practice but within your setting you do not have to abide by this.

Your setting will have a copy of this because the new EYFS doesnt start until sept 2012.
