Food Safety

As we are having a bout of lovely weather (it'll rain now!:sarcastic), we are all barbecuing like crazy and this, coupled with warmer temperatures, can be the perfect time to fall ill with one of many tummy bugs! :vomit:

The Food and Drink Federation, which is running National Food Safety Week from 12-18 June has these food hygiene tips:

:watermelo Wash your hands regularly through the day, using soap and water.
:watermelo After preparing foods, clean all kitchen surfaces thoroughly.
:watermelo Empty kitchen rubbish bins regularly.
:watermelo Wash your hands after touching a pet or it's food bowl, and keep both away from your food.
:watermelo When barbecuing, check meat is piping hot and cooked right through before serving.
:watermelo Remember to keep cooked and raw meats separate.
