Does the Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools course count towards the Level 3 EYFS ratios in a nursery?

Hello, I've got the Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools certificate. Do I count as a qualified person in the ratios for a Level 3 practitioner in a nursery?

Please help! Thanks.

Hi, no, there's a list of relevant EYs qualifications in the document on this page of gov.uk if you're working in England the minimum to be counted in the ratios is for half of staff to hold a full and relevant level 2 and to lead or deputy a room/setting you'll need a relevant Early Years level 3.

Pages 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 of the EYFS framework

About the qualifications needed to work in Early Years https://www.gov.uk/guidance/early-ye...cations-finder

A warm welcome to the site and best wishes xx

Thanks for the info.

That's annoying, if I'd done my Teaching Assistant course before 2014 I think I'd count in the ratios!
