Toys, The History Of...

I am in the process of reseaching the history of toys as an addition for my website and would like some input as to how to set it out to make it of interest...
My plan for the future is to make that part of the site an information source to be used/looked at for projects, topics within a teaching enviroment. As i have no experience of working with children (although i have 4 myself) i would like some input from the experts!
Thanks

Toniann x

Mods, please move this if i have posted in the wrong place please..?

Toniann, I've left this here in the hope that members looking for Toy planning ideas can drop in the type of thing that they were after, or jot down what they thought they were going to find when they came in :D !!

Personnaly I'd love some 'evolutionary type timelines !

eg.
When the skipping rope was 'invented, what it looked like & was made of in xx year ~ How it altered in xx year ~ when palstic handles first came in & on to today with the character handles & vast variety of materials that are used !!

This sort of resource is fantastic for staff to get enthusiastic over and take it in to show/share with the children .. also perfect for KS1 & 2 lesson use.

I can see you heading off to a toy museums with copyright permission/assignation forms for photos :D lol
