Toy Shop - home corner

A great idea for a home corner theme ... & if you wanted to include PSCHE into this ask parents/carers if the children can bring in a toy of their own for a 'Show & Tell' group activity.

Shelving !! - if you're stuck for toy shop shelving, a few ideas you could try are...

1. Borrow a book shelf / cupboard for the duration your toy shop is in the home corner.
2. But some small plasticbaskets/boxes (ones with holes in) an screw them to the wall.
3. Check your local charity shops for old tiered shoe or Vegetable racks.

Toy shop items

Till, Money, shopping baskets.
Price labels, pencils, paper, telelphone, keyboard!

Labels - If you have the chance to pre organise them - have a picture of the toy on it, the written word and the price!
This introduces simple word/letter/picture associations.

Simple toys to sell can include :-
Car, Doll, Teddy, Plastic Spider, Book, Ball, Bat, spinning top, small bags of construction toys ?like lego, mobilo, duplo, stickle bricks etc !

More ideas welcomed :cheerful:
