I'd talk about the risk assessments you actually carry out & how they relate to the health & saftey at work act. i.e all the areas are checked for cleanliness & hygiene, equipent is checked for cleanliness & no breakages so the children, staff & visitors are safe to use the environment & access activities. Outside spaces are checked to makesure equipment is dry & safe, no animal feaces is in the garden, sand pit etc. Before going on outings the place you want to visit & your method of transport has be checked it's suitable for the children you are taking & meets all saftey standards.

Hope this helps.

help please what are the main principles of risk assessment/management

Hi welcome to the site.

You could use your setting's risk assessment policy or procedures to help respond to this criteria.

You could also use the HSE's principles and link them to what happens in your setting http://www.hse.gov.uk/risk/principles.htm

If you have access to this level 3 handbook pages 159+ are good reading

Best wishes
