Menu planning, how?

Hi,
It's me again, I am still trying to plough through this, but, every so often I get stuck, and this is 1 of those times.
The unit is CYP OP 2, 6.1 Plan meals for young children that meet their nutritional needs based on current government guidance and information from parents.

I get the parent bit, I can do that, but, the first bit, has me stumped.

I do not have anything to do with meals in my setting.

Children either bring a packed lunch or their parents tick a menue for each day, which is ordered on a weekly basis.

Help Please X

I did the NVQ 3 but it seems very similar to the question I was set. I talked about the 5 a day guidance and fit4life, the NHS website has good info about them. I also had one of those plate charts, thats divided up into the right balance of foods (...probably havnt described that too well...!)and used that to plan the daily menu. Also when I did the meal plan I did two versions, one for a child with no dietary requirements and one vegetarian alternative (that covered my info from parents!)
Hope thats what you meant :)

Yes, that helps, thanks.
I actually picked up the latest weekly menu for hot dinners, and wondered whether to scan it and upload and use that, do you think that would be suitable ?

Thanks again
