Checking a child for injuries after an indecent of challenging behaviour?
Please help me im on 5.5 of the optional unit - promote positive behaviour. the question is - describe steps that should be taken to check for injuries following an incident of challenging behaviour.
has anybody answered this yet, i personally would just check the child over, pull up sleeves n trouser legs etc.. but legally is this the correct way? im sure i have heard in the past that you are not allowed to just do that? please help xxx |
Not sure if it's right but i'd put that they would be checked over by a qualified first aider who wasn't involved in the incident....

Hi
again not sure if it's right but the child needs to be checked for injuries, so why not have a witness/manager in room when you are checking for injuries or call parents for permission to do this. Lynne |
