how to support a child or young person who is distressed by relationship difficulties

CYPOP 14. Task 2. 2.2 I need to 'explain how to support a child or young person who is distressed by relationship difficulties' (parents/carers, families, peers, close friends, colleagues or other professionals).
I've been on the internet loads and coming up with nothing :weepy:
Would be grateful of any help or helpful web site's, thanks xx

3.2 i wrote about that to support a child you need to make sure that they know they can come to you to talk when ever they need to. also write about how they can trust you or learn to trust, keeping what they have told you confidential (unless you are concerned about abuse)and reassure them you will not judge them in any way. also about talk about respect and how you would gain respsct from them.

3.4 i wrote about if the child was told to go and steal for their parents to fund a drink/drug habbit or they maynot be properly looked after, dirty clothes looking grubby and hungry also schooling could be affected attendence could be low and then write how social sevices would get involved and what could happen.

3.5 i wrote about you keeping/staying calm about whatever has happened to be reassuring let them explain what has happened in their own words, try not to ask questions. keep reasuuring them it's not their fault tell them that it is a serious matter it shouldn't of happened you know and that their scared/frightend then talk about going to get other help e.g social service, police involved and that they have your full support and will be with them all the way through this matter.

hope this is of any help to you
