Mobile phone and camera policy
Hi,
Does anyone know which legislation relates to having a mobile phone and camera policy? I know it stems from the serious case study in Plymouth but need to link it to current legisltion. I thought we did it as it was good practice and a lesson learnt out of the serious case review. Any ideas? |
PS - I know it forms part of the EYFS 2014 but still wondering about linking it to legislation. Or maybe there is not need as EYFS is statutory?

Hi yes, EYFS is mandatory for all settings on the early years register and providers registered with an early years childminder agency. The link to legislation is established via the *footnote on page 4 that links the 2014 framework to the regulations in the 2012 framework. Section 3's title - safeguarding & welfare requirements recieved leagal force through the regulation made in section 39 of the Childcare act 2006
Policy & procedure on the use of mobile phones was a best practice recommendation in light of the Plymouth case review until the 2012 eyfs replaced the 2008 framework. Hth xx |
