The importance is for children to be safe, healthy - free of preventable disease & illness, enjoy and achieve, take part and make positive contributions.

The Glossary in this level 3 book defines emotional well-being as an umbrella term that covers many aspects of emotional development, including relationships, self-esteem, happiness and resilience.
