LoveLibraries is a campaign to highlight Libraries across the UK .. for good and bad !

With opportunities for local members to have their say about the library facillities in their own area ...

It's a great initiative and we wish them well in their task

I'm not sure where they are based if they hold local awareness campaigns or who a main contact is ... hopefully I'll be back to update this thread ... in the meantime pop down to your 'Local and pick up some great story time fun :D :highfive:

Who’s behind it?
Love Libraries has been kick started by a group of nine British publishers who’ve been working with a charity called The Reading Agency, exploring how to get more reading to more people, through libraries.
Having seen the fantastic work some libraries do with reading, the publishers wanted to help them fast forward it, so everyone, everywhere can get the best possible 21 Century reading service from their local library.
They got together with government and the main library bodies to create The Future Libraries Partnership, a unique alliance of the public and private sectors including the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, the Society of Chief Librarians, the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council, nine British publishers and The Reading Agency.
The nine publishers are: Random House, Harper Collins, Penguin, Time Warner, Faber, Harlequin, Bloomsbury, Hachette and Macmillan.
