You've stopped at the second part of your question, but i'll deal with the first part

Try and put yourself in the position of coming from a disadvantaged background - uneducated/poor parenting skills/ poverty - may result in poor clothing, development delay, constantly ill if living in an unheated property that may have mould on the walls, so a child may suffer from chest infections etc.

People all make judgements - how may the above sway others thoughts about children who come from a family such as the above mentioned?

Do you think they will always be treated with respect and equality?

A child with chronic illness or special needs? How may they and their families be treated?

A setting may accept a child with special needs, but unwittingly treat them unfairly - not enabling those children to access activities that other children can - such as can a child in a wheelchair or with leg splints, can they play in the sand pit if it is on floor level?

What about families from different cultures/religion or ethnicity such as travellers - how may they be treated?

What about gender and age - does your setting offer all activities to all children - or do you say this is for the boys...., this is for the girls,... this toy is only for 2 year year olds, you're too big etc

The above is just to start you thinking - when you've gone through many examples in your mind, you then need to know, how do you as a practitioner make sure you are respecting and treating everyone equally?

This is where your policies and procedures, recruitment of staff, ethos of setting, training of staff etc comes into play. Read your policies and it'll help you with your answer.
