Breakfast club?

Hi im looking for any advice anyone can give on the set up and running of a breakfast club.
Do they need to implement the EYFS..if so in how much detail.
When should the children be handed over...to their class teacher at the start of school or be let out into the playground??
Any other info would be good....thanks..

we look after our pre schoolers as well as our older kids up to year 6 from 8:00-840. the kids come in play with the toys have a chat, finish any homework off they have forgotton (which has been known). The children are taken across to the school - years 5&6 tend to go off once inside the school gates but one member of staff takes the reception and year ones to their classrooms and another does years 2-4 as they are next to each other. we check before leaving they are settled in. We always have 2 members of staff go over to the school even though its over the road (ofsted are likely to ask how many staff ddo the school run and it also will be checked on your risk assessment)

Hi there,

I live in Redbridge in Essex-how can I find out about local breakfast clubs? Do they work with schools?

Thanks,
x
