2008 is Year of the Frog
 

Patroned by Sir David Attenborough Amphibian Ark is raising awareness on the status of Frogs throughout the world.

There is a Campaign Page/Information Materials that has some very nice dowloadable activities on :cheerful:

With the help of Zoos and Conservation organisations the hope is that many species can be saved, bred captively until the time and opportunity arrives to release them back to their natural habitat.

If you get the chance to have a 'Froggy day in PreSchool and can build links with local Centres & your community, there are many activity ideas / suggestions to help highlight the work being done by all the groups involved :proposetoast:

Lily Pad hopping - Green tea towels out in the Playground
Tiddly wink frog game
Pond watching - Water tray frog pond.
Hopscotch .. renamed frogscotch maybe !
Chunky jumping Jacks - Adult lead may help the game work ..


Fundraise with Froggy Biscuits - Ask parents to donate a Pound .. or more for ingredients and packaging before the event and then allow the children to make and take home their biscuit for lunch !!
