In the level 3 handbook - on amazon.co.uk , pages 86 - 88 of unit 2.2 provide information on the following safeguarding legislation & guidance

• Working together to safeguard children 2015
• Guidance publication: What to do if you're worried a child is being abused (2015)
• The Disclosure and Barring service (once known as the CRB criminal record bureau)
• Summary of the The Children Act 2004
• Your setting's safeguarding policies and procedures will be built on this legislation, national regulation and guidance, through your home nation's early years framework - if you're in England it will be the EYFS 2014 . If you have a copy of the policies read through and see how it relates.
