Assessor training ?

Are there any NVQ assessors or support workers/tutors for students on Silkysteps ?

What qualifications and training have you undertaken and how beneficial are you finding your own support network is ?

I am have worked as an NVQ Assessor for Early Years NVQ's Level 2,3 & 4 and undertook the D32 D33 assessor units.

I had lots of support to carryout my assessimg with my candidates as I was employed by an NVQ provider, so the other NVQ assessors at the company gave me lots of support.

However some of my NVQ candidates also had a workplace assessor. I never knew how the workplace assessors found time to do the assessing of NVQ's as well as carry out their full time role as a nursery nurse.

I think for workplace assessors to work well their manager needs to give them time to assess the candidate/student otherwise both assessor and candidate are under too much pressure, and it may end in the candidate not wanting to complete the NVQ, which is such a shame.:banghead:

I'm happy to help anyone I can who is doing an NVQ, although I don't know how much help I can be, as I am not familiar with the new CCLD qualifications.

Good luck to everyone who is doing a course right now:reading:
