CYPOP 17 Help please :-(

Hi all,

Im currently on my last unit "yippee" but im stuck :-(. I think sometimes the way the question is asked confuses me more than the answer i eventually get.

The question i am stuck on is

1.4 Explain why strategic direction from national and local policy is required to address factors impacting on outcomes and life chances for children and young people.

I would be really grateful if someone could reword this questions and point me down the right road for the answer.

Many thanks :banghead:

It should basically read..........

Why is information from national and local policies (ie County council policies and National Min Standards) required to address factors impacting on outcomes (for example positive outcomes for children, passing exams, growing and thriving, becoming well rounded adults as well as negative outcomes) and life chances for children and young people.

Does that help at all?

I would say to look at your local County council policies as well as the NMS and Ofsted/Estyn and explain how their 'direction' helps local factors like housing, poverty, education, health etc

Good luck
