CYPW Level 3 how many units ?
 
Afternoon guys,

Im doing the level 3 CYPW but cant remember how many units altogether it is. Ive done 10 so far just wondered how many more i have to do.

I'm sure i've got it written down somewhere ....lol

Can anyone remember ?

It depends on how many credits they are worth. After you have done your mandatory units,you need to make up the credit value to 65. I am doing 3 optional units to make up the credits, but I know others that are doing 4 or 5 optional units as they are all worth different amounts. All the info is in the standards.

I think it depends on which pathway you are taking. I haven't come across it on the childcare pathway

i think there are 20 units together with optional units and SCMP1 is not optional unit i think

Social Care Mandatory Pathway .. these units are used for learners undertaking a children & young peoples social care pathway in contrast to the early years pathway xx

SCMP 1 Unit 1 Assessment and planning with children and young people
SCMP 2 Unit 2 Promote the well being and resilience of children and young people
SCMP 3 Unit 3 Professional practice in children and young

Social Care Pathway jobs/roles:
 Education support workers who visit families of pre-school children in their homes
 Foster carers
 Children and families social workers
 Registered managers of children’s homes, plus deputy and assistant managers
 Residential childcare workers
 Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service advisers
 Youth workers.
