I'm so stuck on this question: explain the importance of reflective practice in continuously improving the quality of service provided. Thank you in advance :banghead: |
Hi,
on reflection what could you do to make it better, more exciting/challenging, slower/quicker pace. Did it suit the needs of the children, ask them them for feedback etc hope it helps x |

I know this tread is old but this is my answer:
Reflective practice is imperative in order to ensure that high standards are kept continuously as circumstances, children and environments change .You have to be aware of child’s approach, and you have to understand how approaches are changed or improved. Reflective practice includes evolving child’s centred approach. The childcare benefits as the child’s skills grow and better understanding, it also promotes a new level of acceptance of those who are different from us .Reflective practice evolves our practice and experiences, enabling higher standards and learning practice. When carers have deemed experience alone as good practice, they are not reaching their fullest potential. But they are such within one practice that may be over used. Bad practice may not have reached their full potential. Some companies support this view within his experimental learning cycle: 1) observation and reflection, 2) forming abstract concepts, 3) and testing in new situations,4) without reflection, the wrong link would be between each experience lost therefore children would be left undeveloped. hopw this helped for people who read this! |
