ideas on a task to help improve a childminders!

hi guys,
I currently volunteer at a childminders, and i have been set a little task! To come up with a few little ideas to help improve the setting! It can be anything, making something, improving an exsisting area etc, and i have to tie it in with EYFS. I have a few ideas, some have already been taken, such as a birthday train, alphabet and number lines. I did think maybe about the days of the week, in different launguages?? not sure how this would work! any ideas would be grateful as i really want to think of some thing different!
thanks everyone!!! xx

hi there,

i am unsure how your setting is laid out and also think about the children you look after....

how about an activity choice board- promoting self-confidence and independance
or
a best friends board- somehting sweet where they can select photos and put them together to match the best friends up or you could make it a silly one of their faces with laminated add ons such as a red nose/ glasses etc so they can play silly games with each others picture,
or
for your escapies a bolts wall where lots of different bolts and locks can be placed for them to play with/
or
for you curious ones a touch and feel board in which could have different textures either on show so they can walk up and touch or in a box so they have to guess what it is depending on their development

another fun thing children in my setting seem to like is space where it has a road on the floor for the ride along toys to go round on....

for an activity the bubbling wizards brew is a hit with my 2-5 year old and very eas/ messy activity.... depends what you are after really...

hope this helps x
