unit 1 Evaluate the effect on children and young people of having positive relationships during periods of transitions

Ok so do my units in a mix up as always and i am currently doing unit 1 question 5.2... need a few pointers as im having a brain melfunction :fryingpan

The question is: Evaluate the effect on children and young people of having positive relationships during periods of transitions.

i have the points:
helps them to settle due to feeling comforted by the person being present
having a role model to look up to
having someone who knows the child/ young person present in which means they can help monitor their transition
extra support

hopefully they are correct but really need a few booster ideas, please help as i am currently:banghead: xx

Use a graph Natasha...left hand box write down the transitions that a child could be going through & opposite that the effects of having the positive relationship could have on that transition. It dosen't have to be major writing as long as your saying what needs to be said.

I did this & it was signed off...good luck

For example: (Left side of the graph) Transition: death or bereavement... (Right side of the graph) the effects of having positives relationships during that transition will be: During this transition an adult needs to understand the pain that the child is also going through. If the child does not want to talk then just be there for them, when the child is ready then talk about fun memories you had of the deceased person.

Hope that helps!

This may help you

Diagnosing problems in speech, language or communication is important to a child’s development as it could affect their overall behaviour at school or home. If the problem is picked up early enough then teachers, TA’s (teaching assistants) or Senco’s can intervene. It could affect early school life as a child may not be able to socialise or make friends for fear that they will be bullied or ostracised by other children. As a child grows older late diagnosis could affect their academic abilities as well as feeling like a social outcast. A hearing impairment or speech impediment may make it hard for a person to communicate; therefore it is crucial that other forms of communication are established i.e. sign language. If interventions and help are set in place early enough then the person will receive the correct guidance and support. This allows agencies or the people involved to ensure the child/young person is reaching their developmental targets and promote positive results for their language and communication.

Hope that helps.
